Students Head Back to Hogwarts
As September rolls around, all wizards young and old see the signs of students returning to Hogwarts. All the kiddies are packing their trunks, older students are groaning, younger students are visibly nervous, and everyone is making that yearly trip to shop for school supplies.
Diagon Alley seems ready for the influx of shoppers in late August. Says Flourish and Blotts manager Albertus Albrecht, "Oh yes, we've done some extra hiring and opened a few more registers specifically for that purpose. We've also got lists of the required books, and we've made a special section at the front of the store so that customers can easily find what they need." It seems that this idea has spread through the Alley, and many stores are attempting to make their stores more shopper-friendly this year. "The lines last year were unbelievable," says Apothecary owner Dementia Jonas, "So we're trying to avoid that."
After the sad passing of Hogwarts last Headmaster, Armando Dippet III, great grandson of former Headmaster Dippet, the school is planning to announce the new Headmaster at their beginning of the year feast. The Daily Prophet attempted to get some information from current Deputy Headmistress DeWitt, but we were quickly shooed away, "You'll all find out when the students find out, so quit snooping."
