Hogwarts' New Headmistress Steps Up
The Daily Prophet is please to introduce Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry's new Headmistress, Professor Salem Marquis Hauxwell!
Hauxwell is held in the highest esteem in all circles of the wizarding world. She first made a name for herself while working with the school governors just after she graduated from Hogwarts, where she had been excelling as a Slytherin student. After some experience with the British Ministry of Magic, she travelled the world, visiting other Wizarding Schools before helping to found the Mediterranean's only wizarding school, Waldrop's Wizarding Academy.
Ministry officials declare Hauxwell to be perfectly qualified for the position, "Well, there was really no one else for the job but her." Former Deputy Headmistress Celeste DeWitt (who recently resigned that position in favor of part-time work at the school as a dueling coach) also concedes to Hauxwell's qualifications. "She's certainly experienced," says DeWitt, "And she gets all of the students' attention." Surely all of the Hogwarts students are in utter admiration of their new Headmistress, who was hand picked by the school governors just days before the start of term.
Ms. Hauxwell declined a personal interview, but who can blame her - We're sure it wasn't that she was being rude, she just has a lot of things to accomplish in her new position, which the Daily Prophet has praised her for attaining. In fact, we've been nothing but supportive of the school governors' brilliant decision.
Not that we're holding anything against her - Best of luck to you, Headmistress Hauxwell! We're sure that the Prophet will be hearing from you soon! One way or the other...
